GCSE Changes from September 2012

The government has now confirmed that unitised GCSEs, will be replaced by linear assessment for all candidates starting a two-year course from September 2012.

From the January 2013 series, a small number of additional marks will be awarded to reflect the quality of Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG) for GCSE English Literature, Geography, History (including Ancient History) and Religious Studies only.
